I came to the DIamond Approach in 2007 after many years of searching for my spiritual home. I was looking for a depth of teaching that was grounded in Reality, Truth, Love and Realness. My first introduction to A.H. Almaas's books, specifically, Essence and The Elixer of LIfe, sealed the deal. I felt a deep resonance in my soul with his words and my flame for the truth started to burn even more brightly. Fortunately, a new group was just starting to form in Boston and I jumped in with both feet. When the opportunity to sign up for seminary to begin the journey to possibly become a teacher arose several years later, again, I said yes. I felt the call of this path beckoning to deepen in my soul. And I wanted to share the wisdom and beauty of this path with others.
My experience in the Diamond Approach has been liberating. The deep inner work of this path reveals and frees my soul from the obscurations and obstacles that have prevented me from simply being myself. I am discovering and experiencing the beauty and profundity of True Nature and of the many ways Reality manifests as and through my particular life. I have learned that our true nature is mysterious, beautiful and stunning; that our lives are precious revelations of this nature; that this revelation is endlessly engaging and that I am not in control of any of it! Even when I want to be!
You are a precious and unique human being. Even those places in you that you may reject or want to hide from are doorways into your true self. In our sessions, I welcome all of you. I offer you deep listening, respect, love and compassion with an unwavering commitment to discovering what’s true. You bring all of yourself. Together we create a safe, sacred space that supports your inquiry into your soul’s mysterious unfolding.
What drew me near and into this path and what keeps me here is my love of the Truth. I felt a quickening in my soul as I read Almaas' books and attended my first introductory weekends. I knew immediately in my gut and heart that this was a path of the truth. The teachings and Almaas's books sparked my intellectual curiosity. I exeperienced the transmission of the wisdom of this path through his words. The loving, compassionate holding environment provided by my teachers and our practices of open ended inquiry, meditation and sensing provided a solid foundation and support for exploring vulnerable places in my soul. And continue to. Being in my home group, belonging to a loving supportive community of souls engaged in these practices and receiving the teachings together has been an invaluable support and gift.
The DIamond Approach is not a fast track to enlightment. Just as the development of our precious egos is a process, the inner work to meet our egoic structures with objective understanding, develop our capacity to be present and recognize our true nature is also a process. This journey requires courage, patience, curiosity, dedication and vulnerability. Our orientation is one of not knowing, of being open to and engaged in the mystery as it unfolds in our unique particularity. It's about the journey, not the destination. There is no end.
