Freedom from your Inner Critic: Quieting that inner voice of Criticism
September 11th and 18th | 6 - 8:30pm
There is an inner voice or feeling which accompanies us in our lives. This voice tends to criticize us when we do something or fail to do something. Left untended and unexamined, it can affect our choices, our emotional field and even our posture. Although it is trying to help, most people can see that, overall, it is undermining their self-confidence and natural delight in life. It also limits our ability to explore and connect with our deeper nature.
We will be using meditations, teachings and personal inquiry to look how the inner critic challenges us and discourages us from seeing our deeper nature.
The Diamond Approach, developed by A. H. Almaas, uses the findings of modern psychology and the ancient wisdom traditions to support a return to essence, or our true nature.
“I myself can recommend the Diamond Approach as probably the most balanced of the widely available spiritual psychologies/therapies.”
~Ken Wilber
